Hurricane
Generations of visitors to New Orleans start their trip with a stop at Pat O’Brien’s, a Bourbon Street mainstay that’s been around since the early 1930s. The Hurricane was invented here — a bright red drink in a shapely glass that serves as a beacon to orient all visitors. Pro tip: Ask to be pointed to the dark “local’s bar” — with its homey feel and discount on drinks.
