Position Description: Tales of the Cocktail Foundation (TOTCF) is looking for a talented, driven and enthusiastic Marketing & Social Media Assistant to join our creative team. You will be responsible for supporting the Marketing department with weekly administrative functions and responsible for developing and implementing social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of the Foundation’s social media platforms. Your passion for social media as a communications tool will result in the adoption and implementation of social media best practices across all social media channels.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a versatile creative writer, and a team player. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” Foundation initiatives and events by providing support to current and prospective attendees and stakeholders. You will be an active participant in data collection and analyses in order to consistently improve the Foundation’s social media practices over time.
The Marketing & Social Media Assistant is a full-time entry-level position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Marketing department with administrative work, planning, scheduling and note-taking in departmental and/or client and stakeholder meetings
- Assist in implementation of Foundation Brand Strategy with the Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Manager
- Assist the Digital Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of TOTCF Content Calendar by creating consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms; including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting social media campaigns
- Managing a high volume of daily social media posts
- Communicating with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner
- Developing and managing social influencer programs as well as managing a contact database of Foundation partners and industry personalities
- Create a newsletter schedule and assist in executing email marketing strategy
- Collaborate with other departments (partnerships, programs, events etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
- Support campaigns
- Using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hubspot, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the company’s social media presence and performance
- Preparing monthly reports on social media marketing efforts
- Suggesting recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results
- Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media
- Performing other duties when needed
SKILLS + EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred
- Proven working experience in social media marketing
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
- Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
- Experience using various analytics software
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
