Dame Hall of Fame® is a celebration of leaders who have made unique and lasting contributions to accessibility and intersectionality within the global hospitality industry. Past Dames’ groundbreaking accomplishments have shaped the beverage landscape and provide visible models of achievement for tomorrow’s leaders.

Established in 2012, Dame Hall of Fame serves to acknowledge and encourage mentorship throughout the beverage and hospitality industries. Each year, the Foundation and Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails (LUPEC) introduce three new “Dames” — the U.S. Inductee, International Inductee, and the Pioneer Award recipient who are all honored and celebrated at the annual Dame Hall of Fame Ceremony that takes place annually at Tales of the Cocktail®.

2022 Dame Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Friday, July 29 | 11:00 AM CST – *SOLD OUT*
Mercier Terrace, The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans

The tenth annual Dame Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will honor the incoming Dame Hall of Fame inductees with a cocktail and a celebratory reception. Dame Hall of Fame is a celebration of women who have made unique and lasting contributions to the global hospitality industry. This year, we are excited to welcome more members to this group of individuals that highlight marginalized groups within the industry and shine a spotlight on leaders actively making changes in their communities.

Nomination Process

The 2022 Dame Hall of Fame nomination process is closed. Categories open for public nomination are NOT based on the volume of nominations submitted. It only takes ONE nomination to be considered for an award, self-nominations accepted. Please read through the FAQs before starting a nomination form.

Dedicated to making Dame Hall of Fame more inclusive to the LGBTQIA+ community and other marginalized groups within the global drinks industry, in 2020 the Foundation and Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails (LUPEC) chose to move towards the use of the word individual as opposed to woman to include non-binary individuals, the trans community, and all who are working for the accessibility and intersectionality of the drinks industry.

Judging Process

Once the Dame Hall of Fame nomination process is closed, submissions will be shared with the active Dame Hall of Fame Committee Members

For Round One of voting, members will review the U.S., International, and Pioneer nominations of each individual and will be asked to rank nominees from 1-5 with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. Nominees will be evaluated against the Dame criteria, not against each other. Each nominee’s scores will be added up, and the individuals with the highest total points will move on to Round Two of voting.

For Round Two of voting, members will be provided with the nomination statements, resumes, and bios of the Top Nominees for U.S., International, and Pioneer. Members will evaluate the candidates in each category against one another. Each member will be asked to make 3 weighted choices for each category.

  • Choice 1 will be weighted with 3 points
  • Choice 2 will be weighted with 2 points
  • Choice 3 will be weighted with 1 point
