The global cocktail conference, taking place July 25-29, 2022, commemorates its 20 year anniversary with the theme “Progress”
NEW ORLEANS, LA (January 4, 2022) — Tales of the Cocktail Foundation (TOTCF) is thrilled to announce the 20 year anniversary Tales of the Cocktail® (TOTC) conference, which is returning for an in-person celebration in New Orleans from July 25-29, 2022. What started as an annual walking tour in 2002 has since become the world’s leading cocktail conference, and this year the globally renowned event will host its signature, educational programming at the historic French Quarter at The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans.
To toast this momentous occasion, TOTC will return with a curated lineup of seminars, events, and, of course, imbibing all in the name of “progress” — the festival’s official 2022 theme. Chosen for its recognition of the nimble and adaptive development of the drinks industry, “Progress” showcases the transformative atmosphere and nature of the resilient cocktail community.
“This year’s Tales of the Cocktail theme, Progress, allows us to continue looking ahead while also taking a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come in the cocktail industry,” said Tales of the Cocktail Foundation CEO Eileen Wayner. “It’s in this spirit that we are so thrilled to celebrate the 20 year anniversary and unite together to celebrate the strides and transformations we’ve made as a beverage community.”
Inviting industry professionals and drink-lovers to convene in New Orleans this July, the TOTCF team is actively slating a host of programming, encouraging guests to sip, mingle, and toast to a communal appreciation of cocktails, all while enjoying the spirit of New Orleans. With hundreds of opportunities developed specifically for industry professionals from bartenders to distillers, TOTC is the drinks industry’s annual meeting place for exchanging new ideas, products, and techniques.
“It is our great honor to host the global cocktail community, who travel from near and far, to join us in our beloved city of New Orleans,” said Tales of the Cocktail Foundation Board Member Neal Bodenheimer. “Over the past few years, we’ve proven that we’re a spirited, resilient industry and most importantly, one that is willing to come together and help each other learn, grow, and hone our collective craft. We look forward to the progress that’s still to come in our community.”
For those who cannot travel to New Orleans, the conference will be supplemented with a host of digital education and networking opportunities. Additionally, in accordance with local and state guidelines, Tales of the Cocktail Foundation will comply with all recommended COVID-19 health and safety precautions.
