This holiday season, we’re excited to announce the return of the Holiday Coquito Competition in partnership with Bacardi USA. Celebrating the beloved Puerto Rican tradition, bartenders from 12 cities across the U.S. will showcase their own unique takes on the classic Coquito—a creamy, coconut-based cocktail that’s a staple during the holidays in Puerto Rico. Through December, visit participating bars in your city to sip on these creative Coquito twists.
Like many cultures that celebrate the season with a signature drink, Coquito holds a special place in Puerto Rican holiday traditions as a symbol of warmth and togetherness. Sharing homemade Coquito is more than just enjoying a drink; it’s an act of love and connection, often accompanied by music, laughter, and the joy of being surrounded by loved ones during the holidays. In this year’s competition, you will see bartenders celebrating love and heritage, bringing inspiration from their diverse backgrounds and cultures into their unique recipes!
Trip to Puerto Rico
The top 12 bartenders from each city will be selected to participate in the Coquito Throwdown event, where they’ll showcase their creations for a chance to win an unforgettable group trip to Casa BACARDÍ!
